The founder of APK (Aani Paintha Karangal) Ministries, Sister Reeta Bose, b.1941, entered full time ministry in 1993, heeding to God's clarion call. She was working as a teacher in a Government School, when God called her for His ministry. At that time she had about four years of service left. But she responded to God's call and visited villages around the city of Chennai to tell people about Jesus Christ.
Aani Paintha Karangal - APK (which translates to Nail Pierced Hands of Jesus) Ministries is the name God gave to her Ministry. Years of selfless work with a dedicated band of volunteers, who supported her in prayer and fieldwork, resulted in the establishment of Churches in villages near Chennai, a metropolis in South India. Her husband P Chandra Bose, was formerly General Secretary, of Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA), Chennai. She has two sons, who are married, blessed with children, and settled in good jobs. The entire family is involved in the Ministry in different capacities.
